Prior to being called to the Bar in 2017, Trudy Naylor spent 19 years as a solicitor practising in wills and estate litigation, and insurance advisory and litigation.  For over 10 years until March 2017 she was a Partner of McCullough Robertson Lawyers and a member of the firm’s Diversity Initiatives Committee. Trudy was a WorkCover Queensland panel lawyer for almost 10 years, defending claims on behalf of employers in a wide range of industries.

Trudy has a particular interest in will, estate and trust litigation, including family provision applications, will construction disputes and solemn form probate proceedings.  She advises individuals, charities, trustee companies, lawyers, accountants and financial advisers in this area.

Trudy also continues to practise broadly in insurance litigation at the Bar.  She advises on insurance matters including directors’ and officers’ liability, professional indemnity, medical negligence, workers’ compensation, public and products liability, and indemnity disputes.

Outside of work, Trudy is a director of the Somerville House Foundation Limited, and a former secretary and director of several arts and not-for-profit organisations.
